JCB Grandstand

JCB Grandstand

Conversion of JCB ITC into new Grandstand

Bailey Construction was appointed by Bamford Property Ltd to transform the former JCB ITC (International Training Centre) into a modern, purpose-built grandstand, creating a high-quality spectator and hospitality facility designed to support demonstrations, corporate events and client engagement.

The project involved the comprehensive refurbishment and remodeling of the existing building, breathing new life into the structure through a carefully planned programme of structural alterations, refurbishment works and high-specification internal fit-out. The completed facility provides a contemporary grandstand incorporating tiered spectator seating, hospitality and viewing areas, welfare facilities and ancillary accommodation, delivering a versatile venue capable of supporting a wide range of business and promotional events.

Works included alterations to the existing building fabric, installation of new building services, internal finishes, bespoke joinery, glazing, decoration and external improvements to complement the surrounding environment.

Every element of the project was delivered to the high standards expected by JCB, with a strong emphasis on quality, attention to detail and programme management.

Throughout the seven-month construction programme, Bailey Construction worked collaboratively with the client, design team and specialist subcontractors to ensure the project was delivered safely, efficiently and to the exacting specification required. Careful planning and coordination enabled the works to be completed with minimal disruption to ongoing operations across the wider JCB estate.

The completed grandstand now provides an impressive, modern facility that enhances the visitor experience and offers an excellent platform for machine demonstrations, corporate hospitality and special events, while extending the useful life of the existing building through sustainable refurbishment rather than new build construction.
