Over The Wall Camp, Ockbrook

Bailey Construction is proud to have completed two refurbishment projects at Over The Wall Camp’s new home in Ockbrook, Derby, helping transform the site and bring it one step closer to being “camp ready” for the charity’s young campers.

Working across The Mount and The Mews, our team has helped create welcoming, comfortable accommodation designed to provide campers with a safe and homely environment during their stay.

The Mount

Our team undertook a complete refurbishment of the existing building, transforming the space into accommodation for campers staying at Over The Wall.

The works included the installation of new mechanical and electrical services, extensive new partitioning to create individual rooms, and full internal finishes throughout. The completed refurbishment has transformed the building into a warm, comfortable and welcoming space for young people to enjoy during their time at camp.

The Mews

Alongside The Mount, we also completed a lighter-touch refurbishment of The Mews, making the most of the existing building while adapting the space to provide additional camper accommodation.

The works have helped create further comfortable and practical spaces for young people visiting the new camp site.

Supporting Over The Wall

Over The Wall is a charity that provides free residential camps for children and young people living with serious illnesses and disabilities. Its camps give young people the opportunity to step away from the challenges they face, build friendships, try new experiences and simply enjoy being children alongside others who understand their journey.

The charity’s ethos of “rediscovering the mischief and magic of childhood” is at the heart of everything it does, and we are delighted to have played a small part in helping prepare its new Derbyshire home.

For Bailey Construction, projects such as this are particularly rewarding. It has been fantastic to see these existing buildings transformed into spaces that will soon be filled with laughter, friendships and memories.
